The local Leipzig DVB-T-network started with regular operation on the 10th of May 2010. With a nationwide regarded and welcomed decision, the Federal Network Agency granted the license to MUGLER for regular operation of the local Leipzig DVB-T-network in autumn 2009. Thereby, the Federal Network Agency opened the way for competition in the field of radio network operation for the first time. At the same time, the two-year test phase for the nationwide unique pilot project of the Saxon State Media Office ended. MUGLER had completely planned and installed the cellular local Leipzig network in turnkey condition in 2007/2008 and operated the network since the start of the test phase on the 17th of March 2008.
 
MUGLER is also network operator for the test phase of the local DVB-T-network in Halle (Saale), previously installed for TV Halle in turnkey process starting in October 2009. Besides the program broadcasting via DVB-T, this local network is particularly used for program supply to the regional cable head ends.
 
MUGLER offers regional program providers the opportunity to broadcast their program cost-effectively via DVB-T. In regular operation of the local Leipzig network, the broadcasting fees are far below the fees to be paid nationwide for an equivalent TV-program with comparable area of coverage and/or number of supplied households.
