6th Chemnitz Business Race
The 6th Chemnitz business race started on 7 September 2011. 17 good-humored MUGLER runners were at the start...
Just 2,300 competitors coming from 300 regional businesses ran the path of around five kilometers in length. There was just a crush of people at the Karl-Marx-Memorial where start and finish were located this year. The runners were cheered by plenty of spectators; most of them for their sporty achievement and some for their witty outfit. Health and sociability should be first in the foreground of business race.
As a matter of fact, fun was in the first place along with the wish for sporty success and a better achievement than in the past year. This was also achieved altogether; our men's team took the 19th rank (out of 270) with an average runner speed of approx. 16 km/h. Our mixed team even took the 10th rank, on the day after the race, it was still the 9th rank. Anyhow, another team intervened in the correction of ranking lists. Our North Branch also participated in the race with its team and support and could improve its placement by some ranks. As compared to the previous year, improvements were achieved in all fields.
We already look forward to the next year.
