Scope of influence on lifecycle costs

Scope of influence on lifecycle costs
The fuel consumption of a car model is almost fixed. Once the car has been purchased, the costs for fuel or diesel can only be affected to a restricted extent during the running phase. By the selection and purchase of your car model, you do not only decide on the purchase price but also on follow-up costs. The same is held true for the power consumption of a fridge with a defined energy efficiency class or for the energy demands of a residential house upon a building construction.

As to industrial investments – such as radio sites and radio networks – this connection is even more distinct and complicated. The amount of investment is not solely decisive for the efficiency of a radio network but rather the sum of “Lifecycle Costs” (LCC) incurred. In most cases, these costs will distinctly surpass the amount of money to be invested – but the decision on this amount, however, is made long before the start of operation of the first site. The follow-up costs are diverse and, besides, are interacting with one another.

That is why MUGLER has developed concepts for LCC-optimized planning and erection of radio networks. Radio network planning, site selection, and design are not only decisive criteria for construction costs but also, in a great measure, for future operating costs. This also refers to the choice of antenna and air-conditioning equipment, as well as for the constructive design of the infrastructure. Our experts provide efficiency analyses and prepare standards for LCC-optimized network topography, site selection and site planning. Systematic construction supervision and top-quality acceptance of the construction work as well as efficient warranty management will considerably reduce follow-up costs and increase the functional safety and the lifespan of your radio systems.

We provide customized and LCC-optimized concepts for service management during the operational phase.
