Tecryl

Covering of antennas and radio sites

Antennas are necessary for mobile communication. In order for the radio waves transmitted to have the greatest possible range, antenna systems must be installed at elevated locations. An increased number of antennas on the roofs of residential and commercial buildings, hotels, church towers and town halls is often perceived as unsightly and disruptive. In addition to the aesthetic point of view, aspects of monument protection often also play a role.

Cladding of antennas and radio sites

We have therefore developed the special material Tecryl® for cladding elements. It is electromagnetically optimized for the frequency range of the antennas to be clad and is penetrated by radio waves of this frequency largely without loss. In addition, it can be adapted to almost any shape, color and structure and makes it possible to fully integrate modern radio technology into the cityscape and landscape.

Our services

We are your professional full-service provider for the cladding of radio sites and antennas and offer you a wide range of cladding products. Our material-specific know-how is based on intensive research, simulations and measurements. Our designers and structural engineers plan customized solutions and constructions. Load-bearing safety and function in conjunction with visual requirements have top priority. Special software is used to determine the mechanical and electromagnetic parameters of the Tecryl® elements and optimize them for the customer’s individual requirements.

We set high standards of precision and efficiency in production. From model and mold construction to laminate production and surface design, all processes are constantly monitored, tested and perfected.

Examples

Function and design at the highest level

This example shows Eckberg Castle in Dresden.

We replaced the historic window elements in the castle tower with faithful imitations made of Tecryl® to integrate antenna technology.

As a result, no visual changes were made to the historic building fabric.
The electromagnetic optimization of the attenuation properties of the Tecryl windows also means that the function of the antennas in the tower is virtually unaffected.
