Campsite Wi-Fi: Wildwood Camping Uckermark
12. June 2026

Providing outdoor Wi-Fi across a 23-hectare campsite – with trees, woodland, fluctuating user numbers and direct lake access – is no standard assignment. Projects like this are precisely where our strengths lie.
At Wildwood Camping Uckermark in Lychen, we worked with Wildwood Camping Management GmbH and our technology partner Cambium Networks to deliver site-wide Wi-Fi infrastructure with fibre connectivity – reliable, high-performance and tailored to the campsite’s distinctive setting.
This natural campsite sits directly on the shores of Lake Wurlsee in the heart of the Uckermark region, surrounded by woodland, water and tranquillity. Across its spacious grounds, guests find exactly what many people are looking for today: a break from everyday life, time in nature and a slower pace – with the option to stay digitally connected whenever they need to.
Wi-Fi that fits its surroundings
A campsite is very different from a conventional office building. Its Wi-Fi requirements are considerably more complex: extensive outdoor areas, numerous trees, fluctuating user numbers, a wide variety of devices, seasonal demand and the need to integrate technical infrastructure as discreetly as possible into the natural surroundings.
At a nature-focused site like Wildwood Camping, technology should blend into the background and simply work. Whether guests are checking the weather app, sharing holiday moments or working remotely beside the lake.
To meet these needs, we delivered site-wide Wi-Fi coverage with fibre connectivity, based on high-performance networking equipment from Cambium Networks.
Planning, installation and delivery from a single source
MUGLER SE supported the project from consulting and planning through to installation, acceptance testing and documentation. This included the technical design of the Wi-Fi network, selection of suitable access points, network integration, fibre splicing and commissioning of the active network equipment.
Outdoor and indoor access points were combined to meet the site’s requirements as effectively as possible. This provided reliable coverage across the outdoor spaces and in the relevant indoor areas.
The installation included:
- 25 Cambium Networks XV2-2T1 outdoor access points
- 2 Cambium Networks XV2-23T outdoor access points
- 4 Cambium Networks XV2-21X indoor access points
- 2 Cambium Networks EX3024F switches
- 1 Cambium Networks EX2028-P switch
- 1 NSE 3000 firewall
The work also included fibre splicing, a site survey, acceptance testing and documentation. Training and maintenance services were also taken into account as part of the project.
Digital connectivity for holidays, leisure and remote working
Wildwood Camping offers guests a setting designed to help them slow down: stand-up paddleboarding, fishing, canoeing, hiking, cycling or a sauna session overlooking the lake. At the same time, expectations of tourism infrastructure are changing. Many guests want reliable internet access even while on holiday – whether for communication, navigation, streaming or a short spell of work.
Remote working is playing an increasingly important role. Anyone planning to work remotely for a few days needs a stable digital foundation as well as an attractive location. The new Wi-Fi infrastructure brings these elements together, allowing nature, relaxation and digital connectivity to complement one another.
Technical expertise in a natural setting
The project demonstrates what matters in modern outdoor Wi-Fi infrastructure: precise planning, robust equipment, professional installation and an understanding of local conditions. On extensive natural sites in particular, network infrastructure needs to be designed around the surroundings and how people will use it.
For MUGLER SE, the project is a strong example of technical expertise, practical delivery experience and close collaboration working together. From the initial consultation to final acceptance, we created a solution designed to remain largely unnoticed in guests’ everyday experience – fulfilling its purpose by simply working.
We would like to thank Wildwood Camping Management GmbH for its trust and excellent collaboration, and wish all guests at Lake Wurlsee a great connection throughout their stay.
